Real Estate Sales Include United Zion Lutheran Church Property and More in Chautauqua County
In recent real estate news in Chautauqua County, a group of parcels totaling over 150 acres of land in Portland and Westfield were sold for close to $1 million. The transactions were analyzed by the Post-Journal and OBSERVER from Feb. 12-20.
One notable sale during this time period was the trustee of the Mobilia Family 2018 Irrevocable Trust selling five parcels on Felton and Prospect roads to R. Chadwick Land Holdings, LLC of Westfield for $959,250. These parcels, totaling 153.29 acres, do not have any structures on them and may have been used for grape cultivation.
Another significant sale was the former location of the Havana Cuban Cafe & Pizzeria at 212 N. Main St., Jamestown, being sold to Fitzpatrick and Margaglio Holdings, LLC of Pittsburgh for $150,000. The business closed in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the owners expressed doubts about reopening.
Additionally, the United Zion Lutheran Church in Silver Creek sold its property at 11 Porter Ave. to Vincent Tundo for $30,000. The church had closed, and its former members are now worshiping with another congregation.
Overall, there were 105 transactions during this time period, with six sales exceeding $250,000. Some of the other top sales included properties in Chautauqua Institution, Ellicott, Sheridan, Ellery, and Fredonia.
